Diane is a principal and co-founder of Berthel Schutter
LLC. Her investment experience covers a 24 year period beginning
in 1983 and includes management and institutional client
advisory positions at Merrill Lynch and Piper Jaffray. As
Managing Director, in January 1996 she launched the investment
advisory practice for the Minneapolis office of Arthur Andersen
LLP. The practice was transitioned to Berthel Schutter in
1998.
Since 1985 she has served as a trustee for numerous public
and private institutions. Diane is currently a member of
the Boards of Directors for HealthEast Care Systems
and the Minnesota Historical Society.

Diana is a principal and co-founder of Berthel Schutter
LLC (Berthel Schutter). As an investment consultant, she
draws upon 28 years of experience in the investment industry
that includes in-house investment management for sponsors
of corporate and public pension plans. Between 1984 and
1996, she was investment manager, trustee, and chair of
the investment committee for West Publishing Company. There,
she led initiatives for diversification in real estate,
venture capital and private equity. Prior to 1984, she was
assistant investment manager for the Minneapolis Teachers
Retirement Fund.
She began consulting in 1996 when she joined the Minneapolis
office of Arthur Andersen LLP where she helped develop the
investment advisory practice that ultimately became Berthel
Schutter in 1998.

Michael Hoeschen is a founding member of Berthel Schutter
LLC and became a principal in January 2001. He was a member
of the Arthur Andersen LLP Investment Advisory team until
transitioned to Berthel Schutter in July of 1998.
Mike acts as lead consultant for a number of Berthel Schutter
foundation, retirement plan and individual clients and manages
the investment manager and mutual fund search process. For
tax sensitive portfolios he analyzes the tax impact of investment
decisions and acts as a liaison to tax professionals and
portfolio managers to maximize tax efficiency in portfolio
adjustments. Mike has developed proprietary analytical tools
to evaluate portfolio characteristics.
